The bathroom “Where the Desert Meets the Ocean” is a competition project for Laufen, inspired by the meeting of Morocco’s rugged, mountainous landscapes with the coastal scenery. The centerpiece is a freestanding bathtub aligned with the horizon – bathing here feels like being “in the landscape,” while a louvered pergola filters the light, creating shifting shadows and a spectacular atmosphere. The interior is complemented by a desert-inspired garden of cacti and succulents, alongside a warm palette of earthy tones. The design combines photographic aesthetics with Airbnb functionality, turning the bathroom into a true destination.
